Paging Adele Dazeem! Gwen Stefani pulled a John Travolta at the 2014 Emmy Awards, having a bit of an onstage flub while presenting an award.
Looking gorgeous in a shimmering Atelier Versace number, Stefani took the stage at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre on Monday, Aug. 25, with co-presenter (and her new coworker at The Voice) Adam Levine. The No Doubt singer, 44, and the Maroon 5 frontman, 35, were presenting the award for Outstanding Variety Series.
The programs up for the award were The Colbert Report, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Real Time with Bill Maher, Saturday Night Live, and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
After presenting the nominees, Stefani opened the envelope, saying, “And the Emmy goes to…” Rather than the correct pronunciation of The Colbert Report, Stefani awarded the honor to “The Colbore Report.”
Stephen Colbert, 50, did not seem too bothered by the mispronunciation, as he happily took the stage with his team, first running a quick joke with Jimmy Fallon, and then giving an emotional speech thanking his family and supporters.
