Wait, what is happening!? After Emmys host Seth Meyers and Andy Samberg discussed TV’s most iconic show theme songs, Weird Al Yankovic took the stage at the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday, Aug. 25, to perform a montage of revamped theme songs from today’s most popular (and nominated!) shows.
The funnyman, whose fourteenth spoof album Mandatory Fun recently hit No. 1 on the Billboard chart, began his montage with Mad Men and made a point to mock Jon Hamm, who has now famously been nominated seven times for Best Lead Actor in a Dramatic Series.
After letting Hamm know it’s okay he hasn’t yet won an Emmy because “he’s still Jon Hamm,” the singer went on to parody Scandal, Homeland, and — epically — Game of Thrones.
With Samberg dressed as King Joffrey, Weird Al joking sang in perfect tune, “If you miss a big scene … watch it over, watch it over … hope you paid attention to the map, you can pause that.”
The Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor then left the stage to offer GoT author George R.R. Martin a typewriter and proceeded to drink poisoned wine onstage in the guise of the fallen evil King Joffrey.
Watch the hilarity again above!
