Sorry, Peter Pan, but Kaley Cuoco was inspired by a more fashionable star for her news-making pixie haircut on May 31.
“My girl, Christine Symonds who cut it, and I had been messing with a couple of things,” the Big Bang Theory star, 28, told Us Weekly at the launch of Rebecca Taylor’s Little White Dress Collection benefiting Baby Buggy on June 12 in West Hollywood. “I wanted it to be my own, but my inspiration was Michelle Williams in her Louis Vuitton campaign. I loved that haircut so much.”
The end result, which Cuoco shared via Instagram with the caption, “Thank you @clsymonds for bringing out my inner Peter Pan,” was a more textured, wavy style than Williams’ famed pixie. “I feel like I can do this hair a thousand times differently than I did with my long hair. It can be edgy, it can be cute, sixties, whatever I’m feeling,” she told Us.
Her ever-changing hairstyle is influencing her clothing style too. “I’m matching my clothes to my hair now,” Cuoco, who wore a matching Rebecca Taylor crop top and trouser pants, said. “I’m like, ‘Okay, that would look cute with my hair’ instead of, ‘That would look cute.’ I’m all about my hair lately.”
After 10 inches were left on the salon floor, Cuoco has no regrets. “It’s the best decision I’ve ever made,” she said. “I haven’t had my hair short in over 20 years, so I needed a change.”
