Queen of pop meets queen of the dragons! Madonna celebrated Purim in a big way on March 15, dressing head to toe like Game of Thrones heroine Daenerys Targaryen, aka Khaleesi, played by Emilia Clarke on the HBO series.
"Happy Purim!!!!! All Hail All Queens! ##certainty," the 55-year-old captioned the epic picture. Madge holds an annual Purim party, and this year she seems to have outdone herself with the intricate costume.
The Grammy winner went all out, wearing her hair long and platinum blonde with Daenerys' waves and braids. In a tight, leather buckled corset with a blue top, the legendary singer had two small dragon figurines perched on each of her shoulders. (No word yet if Khaleesi's third dragon was otherwise represented in Madonna's ensemble.)
The kid-friendly Jewish holiday of Purim is traditionally celebrated as a masquerade with masks and costumes, and clearly the Material Girl takes the tradition seriously. Catholic-born Madonna has been following the teachings of the Kabbalah Centre since the early '90s.
Games of Thrones' fourth season, meanwhile, debuts Sunday, April 6 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
