Third time's a charm! A smiling Rihanna covers Vogue's March 2014 issue for her third time ever gracing the front of fashion's Bible.
The singer, who turns 26 on Thursday, Feb. 20, looks low-key yet beautiful in a pair of faded, embellished jeans and a see-through, mesh fringe top by Louis Vuitton, while sporting her sweeping pixie cut on the David Sims-shot cover.
Unlike Rihanna's previous two Vogue covers (November 2012 and April 2011) — which featured the singer giving fierce and pouty looks into the camera — the star appears relaxed and happy on the latest issue.
For the "Right Now" crooner, there's nothing more essential to her wardrobe then menswear — specifically a man's jacket. "This is what a guy wants," she told Vogue's Plum Sykes, who had Rihanna dress her for a day in Manhattan's trendy SoHo nabe. "You want to look like you are not just someone in cool clothes… You could wear this on a date," the single singer told Sykes.
Along with oversized jackets as wardrobe staples, Rihanna told the mag that her new favorite shirt is a graphic tee stamped with a semi-nude photo… of herself! "I just found out yesterday that was me!!!" she gushed to the mag. "That is an old naked picture that they blew up and put…" she said laughing, unable to finish her story.
The Grammy-winning singer also admitted that she's still not entirely comfortable with her worldwide celebrity status: "I never wanted to be famous," she told Vogue. "I just wanted my music to be heard all over the world. Then it happened and the fame came with it. I can't ever imagine feeling used to it."
