Taylor Swift was in good company when she embarked on a paddleboarding adventure in Westerly, R.I. on Sunday, July 28 — her father, Scott Kingsley Swift, and tour mate Ed Sheeran were among the friendly faces who braved the waters for the afternoon fun. The “22” singer bought a home in Watch Hill, R.I. for $17 million back in May.
The 23-year-old singer, clad in a 50s-style, high-waisted black-and-white bikini and dark movie star shades, paddled like a pro as she navigated her way through the waters, her hair pulled back in a messy bun and her pout painted in her trademark bright red lipstick.
Sheeran, meanwhile, wore a more modest outfit, dressed in a black T-shirt and shorts. The red-headed “Give Me Love” singer was snapped smiling as he and Swift’s dad tried to keep pace with the country songstress.
The outing looked like a peaceful one in contrast to Swift’s exciting performance from the night before, when she performed alongside music legend Carly Simon — whose own 70s-era romances with the likes of Mick Jagger and James Taylor inspired their own headlines back in the day — onstage during her show in Foxborough, Mass.
“Got to sing ‘You’re So Vain’ with Carly Simon at Gillette Stadium tonight! Unreal,” she tweeted on Saturday. “I could not possibly look up to her more.”
Swift will next perform several dates in the midwest, including shows in Wichita, Kansas, and Tulsa, Okla.
