Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are no closer to being divorced.
Attorneys for the former couple were back in court Wednesday battling over the progress (or lack thereof) for an upcoming trial.
Kardashian's attorney, Laura Wasser, asked for a quick end to her client's marriage, telling the L.A. Superior Court judge, "Ms. Kardashian is now handcuffed to Mr. Humphries."
The reality starlet, 32, is seeking a traditional divorce, while the NBA player, 27, is asking for an annulment based on fraud. "I don't think his client has a fraud case," Wasser said in court of Humphries' attorney. "I think there's a fishing expedition going on here. I'm asking the court to give us some core deadlines when my client can expect to stop worrying about this. We need the courts help to set a cut off."
Humphries' attorney, Marshall Waller, is still collecting documents and still plans to depose Kardashian. "I do understand the desire to get this case moved," Waller said. "There's nothing in particular about this case that makes it more important than anybody else."
Kardashian filed for divorce from Humphries on Oct. 31, 2011 after 72 days of marriage. A deadline for depositions was not set, but a Feb. 15 hearing date will determine if a trial can begin.
