The 21 Jump Street cast took their happy hours to a whole new level.
At the film's premiere in Hollywood Tuesday night, Jake Johnson opened up to Us Weekly about the cast's boozy bonding.
"I'm gonna say this: moonshine was being passed around," Johnson shared. While the New Girl star, 32, says the cast (including Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum) kept things professional during working hours, they more than made up for it during their downtime.
"There were jars of moonshine, and everybody had their hands in them," Johnson laughed. "It was brutal!"
Thankfully, he admits, his on-set duties were minimal–allowing him plenty of time to recover in his hotel room. (The actor plays a high school principal in the flick.) Not so lucky? Jonah Hill. "He had to go to work every day!" Johnson says.
Johnson added that the cast's breaks weren't entirely alcohol-focused. When the moonshine wasn't flowing, "We also checked out the city [of New Orleans]," he told Us. "I hung out with Rob Riggle a lot, he and I buddied up."
"We were kind of our own cop movie down there–we were vigilantes!" Johnson joked about getting to know the Hangover actor. "Detective Riggle and Sergeant Johnson–cleaning up the streets!"
