With seven couples remaining on Dancing With the Stars, the competition is getting fiercer than ever.
Monday night's Broadway-themed performance round saw Ricki Lake and J.R. Martinez finish at the top the leader board, but other stars — including low scorers Chaz Bono, Hope Solo and Rob Kardashian — weren't so lucky.
"It's tough on my feet [and] it's tough on my brain," Kardashian, 24, lamented of his Jersey Boys cha cha with Cheryl Burke, which earned 22 out of 30 points from judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.
Bono was compared to a "little penguin [trying to be] a dark bird of prey" by Tonioli after performing the tango with Lacey Schwimmer. Goodman commended the author and activist for his hard work, but ultimately felt the routine just didn't suit him.
When it came to Solo's rumba with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Goodman could hardly hold his tongue, calling the number their "worst dance of the season" and resulting in a wild outburst from Solo's pro partner.
During a heated, live TV exchange, Chmerkovskiy — who earned a score of 19 points out of 30 — argued that Goodman's critique was "disrespectful" and that the judges' criteria for contestants wasn't fair.
