That's got to hurt!
When Ben Flajnik got down on one knee to propose to Ashley Hebert on Monday's Bachelorette finale, he never expected her to reject him after he poured his heart out to her in Fiji.
"It's difficult to watch," Flajnik, 28, told Bachelorette host Chris Harrison after viewing his proposal on Monday's After the Final Rose finale special. "All I remember from that day is me being down on one knee and her saying no, and having the courage to stand up. That was the hardest part: Getting back up."
Though Hebert, 27, now says she "understand[s]" his outburst — he walked away from her in stunned silence before unleashing an expletive — she did make him propose knowing full well JP Rosenbaum had her heart. "I never thought that the day I'd get engaged would be so gut-wrenching," Hebert told Harrison. "To know I was the one who was causing that type of pain to somebody was hard."
